Application of 4Cr5MoSiV1 Steel
suitable for making aluminum alloy die-casting molds, as well as tools and mandrels used in hot extrusion and perforation, hammer forging dies, press forging dies, high-speed precision forging dies and plastic press dies, etc.
Features of 4Cr5MoSiV1 Steel
The steel can withstand great thermal stress caused by repeated heating and cooling, without cracks in the surface layer。
The steel can withstand huge mechanical stress, as well as the impact and erosion of liquid metal flow.
Because of higher vanadium content, the steel’s strength, toughness and thermal fatigue resistance and wear resistance in medium temperature (600 degrees) are better than that of 4Cr5MoSiV steel. Meanwhile, it has a small oxidation tendency and thermal deformation after air quenching.
